The work Why it exists

Make the reasoning reviewable—not merely persuasive.

Semeion began with a practical concern: important conclusions often outlive the path used to reach them. The system keeps evidence, interpretation and decision boundaries attached.

Its direction was informed by the independent Science and arXiv paper “How malicious AI swarms can threaten democracy.” Emil’s Zenodo preprint records Semeion’s own systems-level defense thesis for democratic and commercial decision-making.

Early controlled work used Governed Cognition as an evaluation seed. It remains a separate public paper artifact and benchmark—not a claim of independent Semeion validation.

In a reproducible offline evaluation, Semeion’s evaluation harness processed 2,625,587 raw records from eight checksum-matched files in a public Harvard Dataverse archive, yielding 527 eligible campaign-day windows. This was method-development evidence—not an end-to-end test of production accuracy, 2.6 million labeled trials or independent validation.

Operating focus What the work holds together

The system,
not just the surface.

01

Provenance

Keep claims connected to their source material and transformations.

02

Boundaries

Separate evidence, interpretation, uncertainty and decision authority.

03

Review

Make the reasoning trace inspectable by someone other than its author.
